World Down Syndrome Day

World Down Syndrome Day is celebrated annually on March 21st.  The significance of that date is because Down syndrome is caused by a triplication of the 21st chromosome.  We have listed below the many ways we will celebrate and hope to see you at one or all of them!

March 8, 2025 - This year, we’re kicking off the celebration of World Down Syndrome Day early with an incredible talent showcase at The Backyard at Texas Live! Join us as we shine a spotlight on the unique talents and remarkable skills of our amazing Down syndrome community.  To perform, sign up at TALENT.  We are also looking for sponsors and vendors at our event.  You can find details at SPONSOR.

World Down Syndrome Day shirts "See the Potential" can be purchased through January 30th.  To purchase, go to:

$21 Challenge -  Celebrate your loved one with Down syndrome! When you donate $21, a picture of your loved one with Down syndrome will appear on the big screen at Texas Live on Saturday, March 8th before, during, and after our talent show! You can make your $25 donation at CHALLENGE. The deadline to have a picture at the event is February 21st.

Texas Advocacy Day at the state capital will be on Wednesday, March 19th.  Time will be determined closer to the date, but will likely be in the morning.  For more details and to register to attend and get a tshirt, go to ADVOCACY.
