Our event may look a different this year, but the goal is the same – to raise awareness and money that support people with Down syndrome and their families.
Step Up Family Walk – We will not be gathering in one location for the walk this year. We are encouraging families to celebrate in ways that are comfortable to them – in their homes, neighborhoods, or area parks. Everyone who registers for a team will receive a Step Up shirt and teams can raise money to receive incentive prizes that are designed to help support their virtual celebrations (see incentive prize button below).
Step Up 5K – Currently we are still scheduled for our in-person 5K on Saturday, October 17th at 8AM at Panther Island pavilion. We are working closely with the venue and our run timer, Compton Racing, to follow current guidelines by doing contactless registration, staggered start times, and wearing masks before and after the race. Every participant will receive a chipped bib and event shirt. Medals will be given to all age group winners.
