Medical Professional Resources

Welcome Medical Professionals!

At the Down Syndrome Partnership of North Texas, we know compassionate, informed care begins with empowered providers. This page offers ready-to-use tools to support you in delivering diagnoses, connecting families to trusted resources, and promoting excellence in Down syndrome care.

Here, you'll find training videos on best practices for delivering a Down syndrome diagnosis, as well as a simple form to enroll your patients in our Parent’s First Call (PFC) Program — which ensures each new family receives a personalized welcome basket, emotional support, and ongoing connections to services across North Texas.

You can also sign up for our monthly Medical Outreach Newsletter, which features clinical updates, Down syndrome–specific CEU opportunities, and educational “fun facts” to keep you informed and connected.

Lastly, we offer in-person medical presentations for staff, residents, or students — led by DSPNT team members and a self-advocate — to strengthen knowledge, communication skills, and understanding of the lived experience.

Together, we can help families feel supported from the very first conversation and ensure continuity of care across the medical journey.

How Can DSPNT Help?

DSPNT staff can come do a customized presentation for any group - physicians, nurses, social workers, or medical students.

We want to provide you with resources that you can share with families who have received a new Down syndrome diagnosis.

Sign up to receive our free, monthly newsletter with resources and CEU opportunities.
